What we collect
AngelCheck does not require an account or login. We collect:
Pitch form submissions (founder name, email, company name, memo text, pitch deck PDF)
Memos and text submitted through the analysis tools or Chrome extension
Usage analytics via PostHog (pages visited, feature usage, device info)
Session cookies
How we use it
We use the information you provide to deliver analysis results, process memos through AI, respond to pitch submissions, and improve the service. We do not use your content for model training.
Anonymization
Investment memos are anonymized before AI processing. Company names, founder names, locations, and identifying financial details are removed. This preserves analytical value while protecting confidential information. Anonymization is automated and may not catch every identifier.
Data storage
Data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with standard security practices including encryption at rest and in transit. Pitch deck PDFs are stored in Supabase Storage.
Third parties
We share data with the following services to operate AngelCheck:
Anthropic (Claude) -- AI analysis and memo processing
OpenAI -- search embeddings for idea check
Supabase -- database and file storage
PostHog -- usage analytics
We do not sell your data. We may disclose information when required by law.
Browser extension
The AngelCheck Chrome extension reads page content only when you explicitly click to analyze. It does not run in the background, track your browsing, or collect data passively. Content is sent to AngelCheck servers the same way it would be through the website.
Cookies
We use session cookies for basic site functionality and PostHog cookies for usage analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Your choices
To request deletion of data you have submitted, or to ask any questions about your data, email kyle@angelcheck.ai.
